Yogesh Rokde, the cool guy behind the YouTube channels Yogi Bolta Hain and Talent Tadka, was born on July 28, 1988, in Khapa Nagpur. His parents, Suresh and Pushpa Rokde, were both teachers before they retired. Yogesh has a sister named Priyanka and an elder brother named Jadish.
Growing up, Yogesh went to Rajendar Nagpur Khapa High School, a Marathi medium school. Despite what people thought, especially his studious brother, Yogesh was just an average student. His real passion lay in music and movies; he loved listening to tunes and watching films whenever he could.
After finishing his 12th class at Bhalerao High School Jr College in the Science stream, Yogesh faced the inevitable question from his father about his future. Initially dreaming of becoming a musician, Yogesh faced some resistance from his father, who found it challenging to accept such a career choice. However, thanks to his mother’s trust and persuasion, Yogesh found his way to the College of Animation Bioengineering and Research Centre (COABARC).
Here, he learned graphic designing and animation, eventually starting his own channel called Yash Rokde. Alongside running his channel, Yogesh also landed a job teaching graphic designing. His journey continued as he pursued courses in 3D animation and video editing, specializing in graphic design in Hyderabad. He scored a senior graphic designer position at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, making his father proud.
Yet, after a couple of months, Yogesh realized he wasn’t content with the routine. He left the job and joined Arena Animation Ludhiana, where he taught graphic design for five years. It was during this time that Yogesh discovered his talent for voice dubbing. He began fan dubbing scenes and providing voices for cartoon characters.
His interest in dubbing grew, and Yogesh decided to make a mark. He transformed his channel from Yash Rokde to Talent Tadka, showcasing the behind-the-scenes of movie dubbing. His content gained traction, and his channel quickly amassed 100k subscribers. Realizing the earning potential of YouTube, Yogesh focused on creating content that resonated with viewers.
However, in 2019, YouTube’s new guidelines hit him hard. His channel got demonetized due to the use of clips from various sources. Undeterred, Yogesh deleted those videos, shifted to facecam content, reapplied for monetization, and got his channel back on track in just two months.
Not stopping there, Yogesh expanded his horizons. He started collaborating with prominent dubbing artists, creating unique live dubbing videos. On October 2, 2019, he launched another channel called Kathanayak, where he shares engaging stories. Inspired by YouTuber Badal Yadav (BNF TV), Yogesh also began his movie review channel, Yogi Bolta Hain, in October 2020.
